Fittingly on Ressies day Kane Forbes plays his 200th senior/reseves game and 250th club game. Kane had the ultimate success coaching the reserves to a premiership in 2018 as playing coach with a largely local group of players.. Kane is a great example to everyone about commitment and passion for the club. Starting as a junior he worked his way into the senior side and although not the quickest player he had great skills and his ability to read the play. enabled him to play plenty of good senior. Covid caused havoc with our playing list and Kane stepped forward to coach the club in a time of need. Although he did not have the success he desired he built a platform for the club to build on. His knowledge of the game and opposition teams is outstanding and the current coaching panel are making use of that knowledge having Kane as a bench coach. . His contribution to the community outside of football is large and he is the unofficial mayor of the town. He is a member of multiple boards and community groups and everything he does is for the betterment of the community.
