The Casterton Sandford Football Netball Club is incredibly proud to celebrate our Women’s Football team, who were crowned Limestone Coast AFL Women’s League A Grade Premiers last weekend after a thrilling Grand Final victory.
In a hard-fought contest that went right down to the wire, the Cats defeated Mundulla by 3 points, with a final score of Cats 3.5 (23) def. Mundulla 3.2 (20).
The match was a true test of determination and resilience, with both teams giving everything until the final siren. Congratulations to Coach “Boof” Carlin on an outstanding season and for leading the group to premiership success.
It was fantastic to see so many Cats supporters in the crowd on the day. The energy and support from the stands played a huge role in lifting the girls and driving them right through to the finish.
Special congratulations to Tessa Murra, who was awarded the Best on Ground Medal for her outstanding performance in the Grand Final.
Congratulations to our entire Women’s Football program — players, coaches, volunteers and supporters — on an incredible achievement and a premiership to remember.
